A significant part of the IT Department is located in Breda from where IT Services are developed and provided for various BMW entities and the European market.
Opdrachtomschrijving: Business Data Engineer Financial ServicesWerkzaamheden:
- Design, develop, and maintain data integration pipelines using Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica IDMC (IICS).
- Lead migration initiatives from PowerCenter to Informatica Cloud, including containerized deployment with EC2 on AWS.
- Migrate ETL workflows from PowerCenter/Oracle to Informatica Cloud targeting Snowflake as the cloud data warehouse.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL and PL/SQL procedures/functions on Oracle and translate them into Snowflake-compatible SQL where required.
- Collaborate with cloud infrastructure teams to provision and manage environments using Terraform scripts and AWS services (ECS/EKS, S3, Lambda, IAM).
- Automate deployment of Informatica services and ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
- Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and operational support for integration jobs.
- Document architecture, data flows, configurations, and technical processes.
- Support in our legacy applications around DFIC, Data Warehouse and Staging Area.
- The goal is to retire as many objects as we can, while running the actual business and find the right balance between retiring unused objects, adjusting existing objects and moving functionality to target landscape without losing business value.

Eisen
- 5+ years of experience in Informatica PowerCenter development.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC (IICS) including EC2.
- Strong experience using Snowflake.
- Strong expertise in Oracle SQL / PL/SQL.
- Proficiency in AWS services related to containerization (e.g., ECS, EKS, Fargate) and storage (S3).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Knowledge of DevOps CI/CD principles and tools (Git, Jenkins, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and performance tuning skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Considerable experience in delivering BI projects.
- Project and Stakeholder Management -> good communication skills.
- Data Requirements Engineering.
- Expert in Data Engineering, Data Analysis (SQL) and ETL (Informatica).
- Good understanding of Data Warehouse architectures and technologies (Oracle).
- Experience in ATC tools (JIRA, Confluence).
