Solution Architect – Enterprise Data & Analytics – Antwerp Province – 12 months +
Key skills : AWS data and compute services (EC2/Hive), Snowflake, Hive/Spark, Databricks, Kafka, Jenkins, Kubernetes, REST API/OAS, Java, SQL/NoSQL, UML

Are you a highly motivated Solutions Architect who is interested to work in a IT team within a large international organization? Do you have experience with software and data engineering design? Then this might be the right project for you!
Our client is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect (7+ years’ experience), with a degree in Engineering or other numerate diploma, who can design fundamental software and platform solutions tailored to meet the needs for the data engineering teams and facilitating the creation of data visualizations that uncover important analytical insights.

Including the above tasks, you will also be responsible for:
– Work with and support data squads to implement more efficient solutions;
– Create and validate data engineering platform architectures that are optimized for efficiency and effectiveness;
– Provide assistance in implementing established data management patterns to ensure efficient and effective data handling practices;
– Writing and keeping technical and functional documentation updated.

Key skills:
– Proven experience with deploying data products into sales-based production environments
– Proficient in collaborating with business stakeholders to create business value through data-lake and data-mesh engineering partnerships
– Extensive expertise in constructing and optimizing large-scale data pipelines, architectures, and datasets.
– Practical application of Data Ops and automation techniques to address data engineering challenges, with in-depth knowledge of software configuration control and deployment strategies such as GIT and Maven.
– Familiarity with REST and its Analytics implementation patterns.
– Strong background in enterprise-level modeling and data analysis.
– Experience supporting and collaborating with diverse, globally distributed teams in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.

Nice to have:
– Commercial production industry experience;
– Senior Software Developer experience/background;
– Good experience in data management and governance;
– Knowledge of supply chains in retail.
