Data Engineer – Antwerp Province – 6 months +

Our client is looking for a Data Engineer who will collaborate as a member of an engineering squad, guided by senior team members, to develop and deliver superior software solutions that address specific business challenges and contribute to the growth of the company’s’ digital enterprises.

Including the above tasks, you will also be responsible for:

• Provide scalable software solutions that meet defined service level agreements
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, product, and agile teams to develop appropriate business or technical solutions
• Continuously monitor and uphold the optimal performance of software solutions in production by adhering to industry-standard testing practices.
• Maintain high code quality consistently
• Meet commitments and deliverables within agreed upon timelines
• Estimate deliverables based on previous experiences
• Share knowledge through documentation, presentations, pair programming, and other methods
• Monitor and ensure operational efficiency of applications in production

Deliverables:

• The process of building, testing, deploying, and supporting software solutions
• The extent of unit, integration, and performance testing
• Scaling solutions to meet user requirements

Key skills:

• Skills in Python, Spark, and data engineering methodologies
• Iterative deployment of software in production
• Familiarity with Cloud Computing, CI/CD, and DevOps principles
• Utilization of data engineering best practices and proven architectural and design patterns
